"La trashumancia" is an ancient tradition in Spain which consists in moving livestock, usually sheeps, from south areas to fresh pastures in the northern mountains during spring and summer. Later, when autum comes and days get colder in the mountains, shepherds come back to the south to spend the winter in warmer places.
So last Sunday sheeps came again to Madrid. There was a festival to claim the use of these roads and this old tradition, streets were empty of cars but full of sheeps, cowns, horses, shepherds and people singing... a party.
